EU Twinning Project
Twinning Project “Improvement of the environmental conditions in Montenegro by ensuring continued legal harmonisation and development of institutional capacities”. The work involved the assistance in the finalisation of the drafting of the National Environmental Approximation Strategy to serve as the main environmental policy document related to the accession process.
This was primarily based on the urgent need to develop secondary legislation in accordance with new legal acts that are recently adopted in the period 2008-2009, including those that are crucially important to support functioning of the EPA, in particular laws relating to the so-called Regulatory Chain: legislation, permitting, implementation, inspection, and enforcement.
