Hydropower Plant (572MW)
Advising in relation to the legal and financing structuring of a major pumped stored hydropower plant with a rated generation capacity of 572MW under a PPP scheme, with recourse to EU Structural Funds and EIB financing. Activity included assistance in relation to the drafting and negotiation of relevant concession agreement with the Competent Administrative Authority; drafting and negotiating shareholding agreements with industrial partners of the sponsor; dealing with the permitting process at local and EU level; drafting application for financing under the EU structural funds; negotiating terms and conditions of loan agreements with EIB and access to the guarantee mechanism under the European Strategic Investment Fund.
