Paul is an English solicitor with over 30 years’ experience in the legal profession gained in private practice with major UK and US law firms, and in-house with a major UK construction company. He has lived and worked in London, Tokyo, Dubai and Singapore, advising clients on deals spanning over 35 jurisdictions.

His clients consult him on a wide range of company, commercial and compliance issues as well as on their critical business relationships with third parties, both in the UK and internationally. He has particular experience advising governments, public bodies, large corporations, SMEs, lending institutions and emerging market companies in the United Kingdom and internationally, on transactions with multi-jurisdictional elements.

He has advised on projects in the built environment of all sizes, from smaller transactions to very large, multi-billion dollar deals. His extensive deals list spans the development of commercial and residential property, public buildings such as schools and hospitals, hotels and leisure facilities, transport systems and infrastructure, power stations, industrial plants and utility systems. He is familiar with most of the forms of engineering and construction contracts used in the UK and internationally, including FIDIC, JCT, NEC, IMechE and IChemE, and has worked on numerous bespoke forms used in project financing and other complex contracting arrangements.
